Variance Quantification of Different Additive Manufacturing Processes for Acoustic Meta Materials

Many concepts for acoustic meta materials rely on additive manufacturing techniques. Depending the production process and material of choice, different levels precision repeatability can be achieved. In addition, have mechanical properties, many which are frequency dependent cannot easily measured directly. this contribution authors designed resonator elements, been manufactured utilizing Fused Filament Fabrication with ABSplus PLA, as well PolyJet VeroWhitePlus. All structures computed in FEA to obtain calculated Eigenfrequencies mode shapes, respective literature values each material. Furthermore, dynamic behavior multiple instances structure is a 3D-Laser-Scanning Vibrometer under shaker excitation, actual shapes. The results then analyzed regards variance between print instances, accordance results. Based previous work analysis parameters models updated improve result quality.
